What happens when supervision goes beyond words?
As a Dramatherapist, I have always been interested in supervisory spaces that are experiential, imaginative, and offer doorways to insight that words alone cannot create.
Creativity offers a bridge to unconscious material that words alone may take longer to access. This means it can be a very efficient way of working that can get to the heart of material that can keep us feeling stuck, uncertain, or uncomfortable.
In practice, supervision sessions will involve a lot of discussion, but we may also use small objects, imagery, story, simple games and exercises, to help reveal deeper insight into yourself, a client, and the relationship.
We will also consider the body in the process, and what is being held and communicated through the body in sessions.
As I am currently completing my creative clinical supervision training this year, I am offering low-cost supervision sessions online, and from my therapy space in Bristol.
Sessions will be £35 for 60 minutes, and I can support counsellors and therapists working with adults and/or young people.
If you are interested, please do get in touch and we can arrange a free consultation call.
